About Me

Born, raised, and finished High school in Smiths Falls,Ontario, lived in "suburban Lombardy" (Rideau Ferry to be exact!), then graduated from The Audio Recording Academy in Ottawa in 1993. Lived in Kitchener-Waterloo for 8 years. Been drumming since I was 11 years old. Percussion arranger and instructor, Now living in Montreal, Quebec as an avid roller coaster fanatic, freelance drummer, recording and performing with the Chris Mulligan Band in Ontario, and teaching at percussion camps, clinics and workshops. Working as an artist relations & product manager for SONOR DRUMS, JAM Industries. Lost over 60 pounds in 2004!!! Drumming influences include Stewart Copland, Tyler Stewart, Steve Smith, Jojo Mayer, Benny Greb, Gavin Harrison, Davide DiRenzo & David Garibaldi. Playing Sonor S-Class Pro Maple Drums,Sabian Hand Hammered Series Cymbals, Vic Firth Drumsticks, Roland V-Drums and Giant Step pedals. Check out my Music site at: www.myspace.com/sonorscott

My Interests

Drumming, arranging music, recording music, ROLLER COASTERS!!!, traveling, street magic, taking in shows (music / theatre / drum corps), home projects. I have been lucky to have seen a lot of the World, but there's still lots more to see!!! So far, I have traveled through every province in Canada, Over 30 of the United States, Peoples Republic of China (Hong Kong, Guangzhou, Ningbo, Qindao, Shanghai, Beijing, Badaling, SuZhou, Tianjin, Zhou Zhuong...) Germany (Frankfurt, Cologne, Hamburg, Bad Berleburg, Bad Laasphe, Marburg.) UK (London).
