Play along with the drummer on a tragi-comic cosmic tune.

About Me

MyGen Profile Generator I'm 29 years old and have a Master's degree in Creative Writing at Northern Arizona University I'm enjoying my first year of marriage to the one and only, wonderful, lovely Jess Nite(!)
I have been known to play acoustic guitar, poorly, without shame, and in the company of men and women. I also write fiction and non-fiction, and am finding it progressively harder to tell the difference.
I also work full-time for the ultra-groovy online roleplaying game, Kingdom of Loathing . The Kingdom takes up a good bit of my online time. I've written a lot of bizarre little adventures full of old pop culture references and met a lot of wonderful people through the game. Check it out one time, won't you?
I'd love to hear from anyone I went to high school with, any old friends that have fallen by the wayside, and groovy new folks.

My Interests

Music:

http://store.snocap.com/a/s/T3-31324-LYTCN323PR-5.swf" /
Where to begin? My favorite bands are They Might Be Giants, Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers, Mason Jennings, MC Frontalot, Optimus Rhyme, The Mountain Goats, The Format, Common Rotation, Sisters of Mercy, Savatage, ... I'll listen to just about anything as long as it's good, and I'm the one who gets to decide what's good and what isn't. That's just the way it is. Hey, I don't make the rules.

Television:

What's that? The only TV I watch now are seasons of shows on DVD. Of those, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Family Guy, and the wife keeps making me watch Sex and the City. And yeah, I kind of like it. So what, you wanna fight about it?

Books:

Neil Gaiman's Sandman series, American Gods, and Anansi Boys, Robert A. Heinlein's Stranger in a Strange Land, anything by Terry Pratchett or Stephen King, Harry Potter, A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius, anything by Christopher Moore (especially Lamb: The Gospel according to Biff, Christ's childhood friend).

Heroes:

Neil Gaiman, Robert A Heinlein, Buddha, Jesus (have you accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Savior? No, but I love his work), Superman, and David Bowie (but just for one day).

My Blog

My bathroom is cursed.

I have come to the inescapable conclusion that the ground-floor bathroom in my house suffers some kind of hideous gypsy curse.  I imagine the previous homeowner carelessly knocked to the ground a...

I’m a whore. A filthy, filthy whore.

Yup, in an effort to expand my creative horizons -- okay, in an effort to pick up a little extra scratch, I've taken to writing blogs for a celebrity site called http://www.celebmuch.com .  Yeah,...

My exhilirating foray into sticking it to "the man."

So I found this program called Wubi, which purports to be a way for people as technically disinclined as I am to install and enjoy Ubuntu, the most user-friendly Linux ever (or so t...
