About Me

I am a guitarist and co-founder of the band Naked Beggars. I devote a large majority of my time to writing, touring, and anything else necessary with my band.
For more about my band...check out our
Naked Beggars Myspace Profile or our website at www.nakedbeggars.net
Brief history about myself:
I currently reside in Nashville, TN where I have lived since 1998…
My journey began in New Jersey where I was born and raised. Even after almost 10 years removed, New Jersey still feels like home to me. Maybe it’s because my family is still there. Maybe it’s also because I still covet the 35-minute drive into the Lincoln Tunnel and NYC, concerts at Giants stadium, the bars in Hoboken, the Garden, the pizza, the subs, Yankee games, Seaside, the Boardwalk and most of the Jersey shore…just to name a few. So, why’d I leave? The state is grossly overcrowded…traffic is always insane…add a couple of feet of snow to that in the winter…plus a high cost of living…yuck! Not to mention the music scene predominantly supports “cover” bands, not original. Thankfully, I can now reminisce about NJ through watching the Sopranos.
In the mid 90’s, I moved to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina where I also attended Coastal Carolina University. So, what’s it like going to school at the beach? So much fun, I think I forgot about the education part. Aside from all the fun that comes with a “college by the beach”, this was the period I started realizing that I wanted to pursue music…it’s a shame that it wasn’t my major at the time. Myrtle is a great resort town, especially if you like to golf. However, the music scene is lacking there…since I didn’t want to be in a Jimmy Buffett cover band playing for golfers around the beachfront bars, it was time to move on…
I moved to Nashville at the end of April 1998. I missed the tornado that ripped threw downtown two weeks prior. Tornado? WTF? “Where the hell am I moving to?” I asked myself. I certainly wasn’t expecting that. In true gypsy fashion, I blindly moved there anyhow…having never seen any of Nashville (or Tennessee for that matter) in person before. Despite spending my first two days as a Nashville resident in the hospital, I finally got a chance to see the city on my 3rd day there! Shortly afterwards, I met Inga and we began writing songs together. As a result of our collaborating during this period, Naked Beggars would eventually be born a few years later.
