MySpace Editor Rasheed RichmondI Sweet Insanity sono una band della provincia di Bologna che nasce nel gennaio del 2005. Il gruppo è formato sin dall'inizio dagli stessi membri che lo compongono oggi: Filippo (chitarra e voce), Andrea (chitarra e cori), Luca (basso), Tommy (batteria). La proposta musicale parte da influenze metal e hard rock per poi mischiare quelle che sono le diverse sfumature dei generi. Il risultato è un intreccio tra parti più melodiche, riflessive e momenti più groovy e aggressivi. Questo consente al sound della band di non essere facilmente etichettabile in un unico filone. L'attività live del gruppo inizia nel luglio 2005. I Sweet Insanity registrano il loro primo EP autoprodotto "Welcome To The Theater" tra il novembre 2006 e il febbraio 2007, avvalendosi della preziosa collaborazione del giovane fonico bolognese Enrico Pedrini. Il cd contiene 5 canzoni più un'intro e un'outro, per una durata totale di circa 23 minuti. A breve distanza dall'uscita di "Welcome To The Theater" arrivano le prime recensioni più che positive da web-zine e portali (tra le altre truemetal.it e sgmetal.it) e la prima intervista ai Sweet Insanity pubblicata dal quotidiano locale "Il Domani". Inoltre, grazie al circuito myspace, le canzoni dei Sweet Insanity vengono notate da una radio americana KWCR Weber FM (Utah - USA) che ne trasmette alcune durante il suo show settimanale Metal Shop. Il primo passaggio radiofonico in Italia arriva invece durante il programma "Demo" sulle frequenze di Radio1 Rai. Nella primavera 2008 la band viene messa sotto contratto dall'etichetta indipendente italiana Hurricane Shiva per la pubblicazione dell'album d'esordio.The band Sweet Insanity, from Bologna (Italy) nearby, was born in January 2005. The group members have always been the same, from the beginning until today: Filippo (guitar and vocals), Andrea (guitar and backing vocals), Luca (bass guitar), Tommy (drums). The sound proposed starts from metal and hard rock influences and then merges together the different shades of these genres. The result is a mix of melodic and reflective parts with groovier and more aggressive moments. That allows the sound of the band to avoid any easy labelling in one single music style. The group started to play live in July 2005. Sweet Insanity recorded their first self-produced EP “Welcome To The Theater†between November 2006 and February 2007, counting on the precious work of the young producer Enrico Pedrini, from Bologna. The cd contains 7 songs, including an intro and an outro, for a total lenght of about 23 minutes. After the "Welcome To The Theater" release, came the first positive reviews and the first Sweet Insanity's interview for a local newspaper. Thanks to Myspace, the Sweet Insanity songs were noticed by an American radio KWCR Weber FM (Utah - USA) that played Sweet Insanity's songs during the weekly show "Metal Shop". The first time for a Sweet Insanity song in an italian radio was during the show "Demo" on Radio1 Rai. In the spring of 2008 the band signed for italian indie label Hurricane Shiva for the publishing of the debut album.
