English Biography:
Story
The original idea was by Sighinolfi “Sighi” Lorenzo and Enrico “Enry” Berti respectively and currently lead vocals and lead guitar- who formed the band in 2004 together with other musicians (among them Ciardello “Ciardi” Andrea, first singer of Criminal Side). This old line up was inspired by bands such as Metallica and Slayer. Unfortunately, some ups and downs and some early difficulties put the band on the verge of breaking up. In 2006 there was a turning point which led to some radical changes: the singer left, while two other members joined the band, forming the current line up. The band began writing its own songs and its live performances grew in number thanks to the constant collaboration with a lot of relevant bands from Emilia- Romagna: The Earthfall, Sweet Insanity BioSystem55 and others. In May 2007 the band started recording its first EP “Abyss of Humanity”, finishing it in September of the same year. The EP release in November was accompanied by a rich and lively promotion including various merchandise (pictures, booklets, t-shirts...) Criminal Side then faced their first contests, gaining positive results and feedbacks, such as the achievement of the second place on a regional level, all this in spite of their heavy sound which has now become their trademark.
Sound
Nowadays, Criminal Side have abandoned the old sound in favour of stronger influences and contaminations by any sort of extreme metal sub-genre. Roots are solidly planted in thrash, which here results bolstered and strengthened by post-hardcore injections as well as personalized with a lot of peculiar musical elements.
Lyrics and Main Topics
Lyrics are never of secondary importance, accusing modern system without making distinction or discrimination as to race, colour, gender or political opinion. Church, Satanism, terrorism and political corruption are some of the favourite themes faced and described through the eyes of young boys not denying aggressive lyrics to a rotten and decadent society.

Live shows are Criminal Side’s dimension, their strength point, always offering the audience intense and devastating performances thanks to their explosive Metal and Hardcore attitude.
