Danica Baker began her career in theater at the age of 12 in Los Angeles,CA. In 1984 she wrote and directed her first and second stage plays, "A Doll For Me," and "Me and My Shadow" for the Sugar Ray after school program at 102nd Street School in Los Angeles, CA. In the winter of 1984 her second play "Me and My Shadow" won the Young Writers Talent Contest which provided her an opportunity to perform her work for thousands at the Wilshire Ebel Theater. It was there that the well known talent scout/acting coach Al Fann, presently known for the Al Fann Theatrical Ensemble in Los Angeles,CA., took notice and offered her a scholarship to study acting. Minister Baker studied under Al Fann's tutelage from 1984 to early 1987, appearing in several commercials, ABC After School Specials, Goldie Hawn made for t.v. after school specials, and the suspense thriller movie "Coming Out of America."She attended charm, and modeling school for two years while developing her acting and writing skills. From the ages of 16-18, she was a member of the Washington Prepatory High School's choir and Performing Arts Department. Performing in plays such as " Little Shop of Horrors," "The Wiz," and "Grease Lighting," as well as a host of talent shows.Currently, Minister Baker is a Youth Director for the DAUGHTERS OF DESTINY Young Women's Ministry at New Philadelphia A.M.E. in Rancho Dominguez, CA. She is also using her talent of writing, teaching, public speaking, poetry, and spoken word for God's kingdom building. Her passion for working with young women, particularly "at risk" teen girls, and her love for God has afforded her to begin The Imagine Me....Foundation, and Imagine Me Productions where she is founder and CEO. The foundation is committed to educating, empowering, and meeting the needs of these young women as well as mentoring them into becoming the women God had created them to be.Don't take your eyes off of this rising star on the move for Christ.
