When she was five years old after losing her grandmother to a stroke she developed a love for writing poetry, but at that time she didn’t notice that it was her calling. All she ever dreamed of was becoming a top notch lawyer in the field of whatever. She had her heart set on law but nearly before the turn of the century in the year of 1999 she got real with herself. After writing poems by request for family, friends and teachers, she started to fall down the path of literature. Some of her favorite authors include Langston Hughes, Maya Angelou, Candace Cole, Judy Candis and a new author and poet to her eyes Terry O’Neal, author of Motion Sickness.Growing up her hopes and dreams were nearly crushed by family members and so called friends, but still she continued to write. It started to become her air and passion. When asked by an acquaintance, “Why do you like to write?” her answer was merely, “…because pen and paper don’t talk back…” She soon developed an ear for words and put them together to make others happy. That was now her dream and goal just to put a SMILE on other’s face. It wasn’t until an older friend at church asked to read some of her writings. From then on her dream and passion was realized publicly and the birth of her first book of poetry was created. “Mirror to my Soul”, is a compilation of over 240 pages of non-stop poetry and quotes of her own daunting struggles that she had to face. With the yearning desire to face the world she continued the process and now after years of tears she introduces to the world her voice in the collection of “Mirror to my Soul”, released April, 2007.She has made a vow and a commitment to herself to help others realize their dreams through her voice and what God has placed in her soul. She now knows this is what she was called to do, and she knows that the way isn’t easy but in her life she’s determined to make it happen. She wants everyone to know that they can’t ever let go of their dreams because when you do, you’ll fall into a hole that you dug yourself.She also has a deep desiring passion to help other aspiring poets and writers to reach for their dreams. Within this passion she has established her own company called “T. Nichelle Publishing” & production. This company will publish and produce her own works while helping others step out of their literary shells and be recognized in a true way that they deserve. The passion for this company is to not only establish books but soon produce plays, skits, banquets, gathering and so forth while taking part in church activities in the surrounding communities throughout California. Our prayer is that lives are changed in a way that one can rest assured in knowing that writers, actors and all creativity in that genre do have purpose in the kingdom of God.Her works in the shadow includes three more poetry books in the process and a fiction novel that will have your soul wanting to know more. She is also a lover of Gospel plays and a big fan of Tyler Perry, which she has made it up in her mind that she will work with him one day. Her gospel plays include a very first, “Salvaged Soul”, “Cut short for a blessing”, “You covered me”, “Strength for the journey” and many more in the works. Though these plays have yet to be introduced to the world she knows that one day hearts, souls and lives will be blessed by them.Keep your ears, eyes and spirits open for this new talented author/poet/playwright that will have your soul on the edge of its seat with its’ legs swinging swiftly off the ground.
