STEFAN OBERMAIER (VIENNA SCIENTISTS RECORDINGS/A)Grown up and socialized in a small place in Salzburg, Stefan Obermaier (25) got in touch with the Black Music Culture very early. Breast fed with his fathers collection of old Funk, Soul & Jazz recordings, he grew up on the nutrition.Years later, after getting in touch with rhythms, which are associated with the Vienna Downbeat Scene nowadays, his artistic preferences began to develop in a certain direction. In order to expand his musical horizon, Stefan furthermore started to visit the Mecca of where it all began.
His excursions to Vienna had some affects, which led to collecting records and spinning them on the wheels of steel. Just getting started in his success as DJ, producer and keyboarder around Salzburg grew fast.
Furthermore, the foundation of his own musical platform was the next important step for Obermaier in order to get his own thing together: Zero: Zero Kollektiv represents his musical visions by means of a live medium.After having graduated, Obermaier moved to Vienna in order to study at the University of Vienna and signed in at the department for musical sciences. By then he intensified his work as producer and it didnt t take long to get acquainted with Jrgen Drimal, head of the Vienna Scientists. Since then, Stefan Obermaier is part of the Scientists - family and is set to be one of the hottest newcomers of the year. He more than matched this expectation with his first track Inna fat Dub Combo for the Vienna Scientists IV Compilation.
