A. About Peace Bisquit
With the landscape of labels, radio, magazines, websites and blogs constantly changing, it is virtually impossible for music mavens to have a dependable outlet that they can consistently rely on for the best new music. New York-based music guru BILL COLEMAN has established himself as an important resource for quality innovative music. Throughout his impressive 20-year career in the music industry, the dynamic and multi-faceted DJ, producer, remixer, music supervisor and recording artist has become renowned for his eclectic taste, acute ear and diverse musical expertise. In the worlds of music and film, Coleman is an influential tastemaker at the forefront of emerging trends and talent in the pop, r&b, rock, alternative, dance and electronic music landscape, as well as, in cutting edge independent film and documentaries.
The tireless renaissance man has enjoyed success as a revered music journalist having cut his teeth as the Dance and Singles Review Editor for Billboard Magazine [from 1987 to 1990]. He has written a music column for NYC style rag PAPER (Wasnt Tomorrow Wonderful?), sat on the initial editorial board for the launch of OUT Magazine and freelanced for Musician, Rockpool, Outweek, B.E.T. and the BBC, alongside completing numerous album liner notes.Coleman is also known for his part in discovering and developing the platinum-selling dance/pop trio DEEE-LITE (Groove Is In The Heart) back in 1990.

9. Williamsburg dance-rock punk THE SPECIMEN has recently won the coveted John Lennon songwriting competition. Craig is currently finishing up his debut album for Peace Bisquit which will feature a combination of recent remixes and new collaborations with the likes of Crystal Waters, Me'shell N'dgeocello and newcomer Rachel Car.

D. RECORDS & MEDIA:
In early 2005, Coleman launched Peace Bisquit Records - a new record company he founded to help introduce amazing music and bypass the labyrinth of corporate nay-sayers who lack vision for the 21st Century.
The first releases included new tunes from veteran industry legends JODY WATLEY, The PRETENDERS, JULEE CRUISE (David Lynch) and JILL JONES (with The Grand Royals).
Peace Bisquit most recently released the debut single from International superstar AMANDA LEPORE ("Champagne", "My Hair Looks Fierce"), the first solo dance single from Brand New Heavies vocalist N'DEA DAVENPORT ("One Day My Love") which went Top 10 on the Billboard dance chart and Cazwell's debut mini album, Get Into It.
Just released are the debut collaboration between NYC performance troupe THE DAZZLE DANCERS and I LIKE IT ELECTRIC who take the theme from television's "The Love Boat" and throw a lifesaver around it and Amanda Lepore's Remix album, Fierce Pussy - a collection of dance remixes serving as a precurser to her highly anticipated full length, BRAND NEW WOMAN.
The first ever Peace Bisquit compilations called 'We Are Peace Bisquit!' will represent the PB roster and our extended family with new and previously unreleased material. these are set to debut this autumn.
Our music is already being licensed to some of Europe's top labels and released internationally.
E. MUSIC SUPERVISION & SOUNDTRACKS:
Bill Coleman's extensive musical knowledge and vast relationships with recording artists and record labels has been a great asset to him as a music supervisor, creative consultant and contributor. Bill has worked on a number of acclaimed indie features and television shows including Party Monster, Party Girl, The Watermelon Woman, Restaurant, Woo, the HBO documentary Soul in the Hole, the poignant women's prison documentary What I Want My Words To Do To You (PBS), Rebo Entertainment's award-winning documentary series "New York on the Edge," the Don Cheadle-led teen drama Manic for IFC, the John Leguizamo-Rosie Perez independent King Of The Jungle, The Prime Gig (starring Vince Vaughn and Ed Harris) for Independent Pictures/Fine Line and 2004 Sundance winner along with festival favorite and Independent Spirit Awards nominee Brother To Brother.
Most recently, Coleman served as the music supervisor for the acclaimed indies Another Gay Movie and Boy Culture as well as the PBS Great Performances documentary Beyond The Steps, chronicling The Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre. He also won kudos for his work on the 2005 Sundance Film Festival favorite Inside: Deep Throat - a feature-length documentary about the infamous and controversial 1972 X-rated adult sex comedy starring Linda Lovelace released during the height of the sexual revolution and its subsequent cultural impact on America. The Universal Pictures distributed documentary was produced by Oscar winner Brian Grazer (A Beautiful Mind, Apollo 13) and directed by World Of Wonders Randy Barbato and Fenton Bailey (The Eyes Of Tammy Faye, Party Monster). Coleman also acted as music consultant on the recent Bravo reality series, "Party Party" , the Discovery Channel reality chronicling the History of the Video game and their reality series, Million Dollar Agents.
Peace Bisquit also provided the Oxygen network with the theme to its hair-based reality series, Tease.
Coleman has also been responsible for contributing prominently featured music to the films Scream, Quincenera, 54, I Know What You Did Last Summer, American Psycho and television shows such as The 2007 Victoria's Secret fashion show, The L Word, Queer As Folk, HBO's 'Real Sex' and Six Feet Under.
F. DJ & SOUND DESIGN:
As a DJ and sound designer, Bill is internationally-recognized for his eclectic ear. Adept at mixing a tapestry of varied genres (from jazz, oldies and classic pop to contemporary r&b, hip hop, dance, electronic and post-rock), the much in-demand maestro has produced musical landscapes or sound design for various fashion shows, art exhibits/installations and various special events for the likes of:
clothing designers Nike, Kangol, Marc Bouwer, HUIT lingerie and David Mason; Imagine Entertainment, DIFFA, Exit Art, World Of Wonder, M.A.C. Cosmetics (Time Rocker Glam series), Russell Simmons, Universal Pictures, 2-Xst, Bloomingdales, Jed Root, Vogue Magazine, House And Garden, The Matthew Shepherd Foundation, Electroclash Festival, Harper's Bazaar magazine, Revlon, Shiseido Cosmetics, PETA (People for The Ethical Treatment of Animals), Bisazza Textiles, Deitch Gallery, artists Lovett/Codagnone, Latin upstarts and 2004 Grammy nominees Yerba Buena, alt-rockers Radiohead and English popsters Swing out Sister.
From yesterday to today Coleman has DJ'd at such legendary venues as APT., Cielo, Wonderbar, The Pyramid, The Lure, Sound Factory Bar, Milky Way, Limelight, Opaline, Save The Robots, The Hole, Flamingo East, Luxx, Tunnel, Bar D'O, Clubhouse, Centro-Fly, Vinyl, G Lounge, The Eagle, Starlight, S.O.B.'s, Area 10018, The Shelter, Siberia, Splash, Starlight, The Cock, SBNY, Boys Room and Brooklyn's 275 Grand and Cattyshack and international haunts such as Ministry Of Sound, Queer Nation, Heaven (UK) and Yellow (Japan).
G. ARTIST & PERFORMANCE:
Bill's musical interests also extend into the area of music production. As a remixer/producer, he has worked with artists like Sinead O'Connor, Suzanne Vega, Le Tigre, The Beloved, Club 69, Book Of Love and the Pretenders. Recording under the moniker, WHATEVER, GIRL (with DJ/producer and co-conspirator Louie Balo Guzman), Coleman has had two top 10 club hits with the seminal Sound Factory classic "Activator (You Need Some)" and "Know You Can" both released on Grammy-winning producers Deep Dish's thriving electronic imprint Yoshitoshi Recordings.
Over the past five years, Coleman has been performing around town with his 'crunkadelic' performance troupe DAISY SPURS. The "cuntrypunkgogoelectro mashuphouse outfit incorporates dance, song and lip synch into a frenetic and hi-NRG experience. They've graced the stages of CBGB's, Dixon Place (The 2007 Hot Festival), The Delancey, Cake Shop, Luke & Leroy's, The Marquee/Slide, 930 Club, Splash, Duvet and The Knitting Factory. They've been described by electroclash pioneer Larry Tee as "Outkast on steroids" and by various fans as a 'Peaches meets Vanity 6' hybrid.
