The Electric Moonshine Band as it is known today started as just Andy playing acoustic solo shows around the central texas area, mainly around his hometown, Schulenburg, TX. In the fall of '05 Andy met up with Travis Jasek, whom he'd known for a little while as a drummer. One night they were persuaded to play at a party together so Andy dusted off his Tele and Twin set-up and they played on a front porch in La Grange with no prior practice together. They hit it off so well that the weekend Andy had a gig in Schulenburg so Travis joined him. They played around for a couple months and then one day in December of '05 at a show, Joey's girlfriend told Andy that her boyfriend was a bass player and they should hook up. A few weeks went by and while shooting pool at a bar in Schulenburg Andy met Joey. They went to Joey's house to jam a little and Joey really took to Andy's bluesy style and Andy knew instantly this was the addition the band needed.
