Originally from Englewood, Colorado, Jake Bass Blackwell relocated to Austin in 1995, after hearing the quote Live Music Capitol of the World. Once in Austin, Jake began playing with local singer/ songwriters, coffee shop musicians, backyard jams, basically any and every gig he could get in on. Seven years later, as his bass skills and musical ear improved, he joined up with Nathan Hamilton and his band NO Deal. Being on the road for weeks at a time, traveling from the east to west coast, he gained valuable road experience. In August 2003 (always eager to grow) Jake joined Honeybrowne. Giving them straight and solid bass clef to link rhythms and tones into musical delight.
Cale Richardson / Lead Guitar / Harmony Vocals
Born in Lubbock, Texas, Cale Richardson began playing music at a young age. First playing piano, and then later picking up the guitar, he plays with a fiery passion well beyond his years. In high school he made it to every open jam that would let him in the door, where he could hear and learn from the seasoned local players. Cale went on to form the popular regional band Outlandau, playing in different variations for over five years. He attended South Plains College, gaining valuable experience and knowledge from some of the best teachers and musicians in the industry. Now relocated to Austin Texas, Cale brings a youthful exuberance to Honeybrowne, playing every show like it was his last!
