Originally from Englewood, Colorado, Jake Bass Blackwell relocated to Austin in 1995, after hearing the quote “Live Music Capitol of the Worldâ€. Once in Austin, Jake began playing with local singer/ songwriters, coffee shop musicians, backyard jams, basically any and every gig he could get in on. Seven years later, as his bass skills and musical ear improved, he joined up with Nathan Hamilton and his band NO Deal. Being on the road for weeks at a time, traveling from the east to west coast, he gained valuable road experience. In August 2003 (always eager to grow) Jake joined Honeybrowne. Giving them straight and solid bass clef to link rhythms and tones into musical delight.
