In 2001 we (Morten, Juul and Svend) rented ourselves into a band-space in a damp basement in central copenhagen.
Hardly ever remotely sober we would sit there and brag about the time we were in punk rock-bands or when we used to make rap music. And once in a while we would invite different drummers to drop by and join us for ridiculous late night funk-jam sessions, that would sound something like The Ohio Players sky-high on office supplies.
This went on for more than a year. But along the way we managed to write a couple of songs and eventually decided to look for a more steady drummer and become a rock band.
We decided to call the band El Video, because it had an exotic latin ring to it that we figured girls would find sexy (the only actual effect this has had, is that we have been miscategorised under latin at itunes music store)Currently El Video is (as a four-piece band) recording new songs for an album which is scheduled to be released in the fall... width="425" height="350" ..
