I was born in Kansas but have lived in a few different places since then... Texas, Arkansas, Missouri, Colorado, North Dakota, and Japan. In between attending various schools in Arkansas, I was married for a while but am now single again. I also spent four years in the U.S.A.F. and was a Sergeant when I was honorably discharged. Now I help with the development and manufacture of aircraft simulator cockpit components.
My favorite color is black. My favorite foods are Yaki Soba, Kobe Steak, Lasagna, Enchiladas, and Chocolate. My favorite vacation spots are in mountain areas or beaches. I like both dogs and cats. But, prefer cats because they are more independent and won't put up with any bullshit.
I have a wide range of interests that includes but isn’t limited to music, movies, television, books, motorcycles, automobiles, numismatics, electronics, computers, photography, tasteful porn (hmm... is there such a thing? I guess I'm wondering if it's really porn if it's aesthetically pleasing or if it is actually art.), and sports.
Probably due to too many years of listening to loud rock music, I hear the singing of cicadas every night as I'm falling asleep. Then, I only sleep about four hours each night. I don't think it's insomnia. Four hours of sleep just seems to be all I need. Nevertheless, I still don't have enough time to do all the things I want.
I've been blessed with some excellent friends. A few of which, are even computer savvy enough to be on MySpace and have found their way to my Friend Space.
Mr. Z , a veritable programming and electronics genius, is not only a great coworker but a fantastic friend. He always has something of interest to discuss and does a great job of keeping me on my toes, mentally at least.
I've heard it said you can pick your friends but you can't pick your relatives. Well, I couldn't have picked better relatives. My parents are the absolute greatest and are supportive of everything I do. They, as well as, my loving sister and terrific brother-in-law reside in Arkansas. While it doesn't seem often enough, I enjoy visiting them at every opportunity.
For the past few years, I had a nagging concern that someone might register myname.com and do something creepy or stupid with it. Like gerbil necropsies or clown porn. :-( So, I decided to register the domain before someone else did and just make it a personal website. Consequently, I'm currently goofing around with web design and am learning a lot about HTML, DHTML, flash, etc... One of these days I'll forfeit the free web hosting that Go Daddy provides and replace the cookie cutter site with one that's considerably nicer. But, as of now, I've not made the decision to do that.
I lurked MySpace and purevolume for quite awhile checking out music and bands. After a conversation with a friend about MySpace, I finally signed up and started creating this page. Naturally, I've got to screw with the code and change it's appearance. ;-)
I enjoy music and enjoy going to clubs in Deep Ellum. Usually with friends, to just hang out and party. But, sometimes by myself to just listen to bands and meet new people. I guess you can tell I'm not a very shy person.
In addition to clubbing, my nightlife includes going to sporting events, rock concerts and, occasionally, gentlemen's clubs. I have to admit though, I don't like going to those by myself. It seems kind of pitiably sad or desperate when one goes to strip clubs alone and I find it to be much more fun when with friends.
I think the dancers at the clubs are just totally awesome and I really admire that they are able to do what they do. I guess I am a shy person when compared to them.
Oh yeah, I'm a huge Razorback sports fan. Don't bother telling me how much you think they suck. I don't care. I'm a fan no matter whether they win or lose. Besides, I'll just inform you that they are number five in the nation for the total number of NCAA Championships . So, unless you attended or are attending UCLA, Stanford, USC, or Oklahoma State, your school sucks more. LOL
Someday, I hope to win the lottery and be a multimillionaire. But, until that happens... you can catch me hanging around here, at my website, or in Deep Ellum.
Peace out!
