About Me

Passion. The filmmakers whose work is on display at the Rome International Film Festival show incredible passion for their cinematic work. Whether working with a budget of more than a million dollars or from a personal credit card limit, these filmmakers show intense passion for their art.The people of Rome, Georgia are also passionate. They are passionate about their beautiful city, their warming hospitality, and their pride in a place that values the arts and the creative muse.We are so proud to welcome thousands of film lovers to the historic DeSoto Theatre and the beautiful Rome Forum. We hope that one is inspired, challenged, encouraged, and delighted in the film experience that RIFF offers, and we urge these patrons to return year after year for what we believe is one of the nation’s best small town film festivals.Visit our shops, restaurants, and other downtown attractions. We know that the Rome International Film Festival will render memories that will last a lifetime. We are glad you made it!WWW.RIFF.TV

My Interests

Screening the best independent films from around the world.

I'd like to meet:

Filmmakers, lovers of film and all those in between.

Music:

If the sound can't be instantly placed into a neat, little box, chances are I like it. If you like the soundtracks to "A Clockwork Orange," "Donnie Darko," "Trainspotting," and "American Grafitti," that's a good start.

Movies:

All kinds, mostly comedy. Or tragedies. Or historical documentaries. Oh hell, I like 'em all.

Television:

Documentary Film Channel, IFC, Bravo, Sundance Channel and ESPN

Books:

I love Tom Wolfe ("The Right Stuff,"), Jack Kerouac ("On the Road," "The Dharma Bums,") and anything about history, Dave Halberstam's "The 50's"). But I'll read anything if someone suggests it. Again, you never know.

Heroes:

Everyone who put pen to paper (or fingers to keyboard) and wrote a screenplay, and everyone who took a camera and told a story.
