Lynn and Wade LLP
Besides great hair, what do Jennifer Lopez, Mary J. Blige, Lindsay Lohan, Britney Spears, Natasha Bedingfield and Shitake Monkey all have in common? At some point they've all been shaped by either Lynn or Wade.
What's in a name?
Lynn is superstar singer/songwriter Michelle (Lynn) Bell. Wade is acclaimed Grammy award winning producer/engineer Peter (Wade) Keusch. Together the two talents form the prolific production duo and illustrious Limited Liability Partnership.
How did it happen?
Blame it on the leap year -- it was February 29th, 2002 when L&W were introduced by a visionary A&R exec with a great ear. The chemistry was undeniable. "It was like matter meeting anti-matter", says Peter. "Big Bang theory aside, it was clear that something was on the horizon," adds Michelle.
Stars align...
Realizing the interplanetary potential, L&W have spent the past few years developing their own distinctive electro deco style and sound. "It's been rather dramatic," says Peter, "carefully chosen curse words, slap fights, etc." "But that's what really drives us," Michelle adds. "We're both really passionate about our ideas, so it's natural that we kick, scream and threaten each other until something good happens", says Michelle. The duo has caught the eye of several high profile artists who have turned to Lynn & Wade's original music and production style to re-invent themselves. "It's nice to have someone take not just 1 or 2 songs," says Peter, "but an entire body of work."
What's next?
Lynn & Wade's debut album, "The Mystery LLP" is nearing completion. As well, Jennifer Lopez' "Brave," featuring brand new songs from L&W, drops October '07, Shitake Monkey's "Street Beef" is in stores now...

“Never Gonna Give Up,†a ballad driven by strings, is the album’s most interesting song;

“CHECK THIS TRACK OUT: Lopez gives the right vocal performance — tender and vulnerable — on the album’s best track, the lovely “Never Gonna Give Up,†a lush, string-based ballad about overcoming heartbreak.â€

“The Way It Is has my favorite production on the album. Built around a live drum that stutters and paves it’s way through the track like a suave b-boy, J-Lo hits the perfect balance between R&B and pop. I’m secure enough in my manhood to admit I was singing along in the car.â€
