About Me

I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4 ...
Pascal Danaë, is a singer songwriter and guitar player, from Guadeloupe ( West indies). Throughout his career, Pascal played with artists such as Gilberto Gil, Peter Gabriel, Youssou’n’Dour, Neneh Cherry or more recently Ayo. He also co-wrote songs with artists such as Richard Bona (Eyala), Just Jinger (Care about him) or Souad Massi (Tell me Why* and Kilyoum – ‘Mesk elil’, 2006 Winner, Best World Music album of the year at the BBC Awards and the French Victoires de la Musique. *Tell me Why is song in duet with Souad).
In 1997 Pascal leaves Paris to England, country ever source of his inspiration with the Beatles, Radiohead etc. and settles down in London for several years. During this time he keeps sharpening both his afro-rock guitar style and his talent for song writing.
His first Album 'London Paris', have been released on October the 29th of 2007. Mainly in English, this album compiles songs Pascal wrote while living in London where he met Australian producer Jack Guy (INXS).
Back in Paris, Pascal was soon joined by Jack who encouraged him to record the "London songs". Within a week, job was done in Pascal's basement. Close friends and very talented musicians later joined the team to create this very intimate and genuine sound: Laurent Vernerey on acoustic and electric bass. Samy Bishai on electric and acoustic violin. Frederic Gaillardet on Accordeon and Piano, Kuch on bass, and Salh Khaili on drums.
