About Me

From singing under the table when she was 4 years old to now that she's a grown woman, one thing is certain...Taya brings emotion and passion to everything she sings.In 2003 Taya won Michigan's Country Idol contest and was selected to open for Country Music Headliner Aaron Tippin as well as Steve Holy, Marcel and Craig Morgan.In early 2004, Taya opened for country superstar Blake Shelton, and has since opened for several other top acts. All the while, Taya was eager to begin writing and recording her own music and she finally took the plunge in 2004 with the release of her debut CD "Lost In The Desert". A mixture of country and folk, the CD showcases Taya's unique sound and powerful contralto voice. Her first single "Bad Mood" played well on country radio and gave her the confidence to pursue her solo career full time.
