Kafka's Metamorphosis; Remarque's All Quiet on the Western Front; anything by Poe; Tolkien's Lord of the Rings (of course); Homer's Iliad and Odyssey; anything by Euripides; as for nonfiction, I rotate between astronomy, natural history (particularly the great cats), and history books covering approximately 400 A.D. to 1400 A.D. -- with the occasional American Revolution book in the mix.
