OK!!..Lets just start by saying that Boston is no stranger to the supernatural . The city has been hit by its fair share of worldwind talents. New Edition, Bobby Brown, Mark Wahlberg, Donna Summer and JoJo, are just a few of the stars that have left their indelible mark. And who could forget the much publicized Tea Party back in the day or the city's frenzied obessions with Red Sox?
Although all of these events have helped to put Boston on the map, none are capable of the full scale industry damage being threatened by Miss Courtney. She is the real deal. Remember the "Poison"-ous girl BBD sang about? Miss Courtney is the prototype. She's got the edge of the Dorcester streets where she was born and raised. She's got the vocal chops to put even the greatest gospel singer to shame with the raw pain and emotion remiscent of young MJB. She's got her own opinions, and her own point of view. And if that wasnt enough, her caramel skin, and hazel eyes will make even the best of them melt. In other words, if you're looking for a cookie-cutter puppet, you've come to the wrong place.
In a household where both parents were ministers and social workers, Miss Courtney, the oldest of three siblings, is a born leader. Her presence demands attention. Her voice orders you to listen. Her talents haven't gone unnoticed or unheard.
She went on the hone these God-given talents at Berklee College of Music. But not even those walls could contain her. Since spreading her wings outside of Boston, Miss Courtney has worked some of the best in the business. Tamia, Tweet, JoJo, Angie Stone, Anthony Hamilton, The Cheetah Girls, Kelly Rowland, Carl Thomas, Rob Lewis, Natalie Wilson, Trey Songz...just some of the artists that benefitted from Miss Courtney's gift. And her talents have allowed her to travel all over the United States, as well Canada, Mexico, and as far as South America and Africa. She is known not only as a singer but as an incredible songwriter and producer.
But the best is yet to come. How do I know? Because Miss Courtney is about to step to the mic and that can only spell trouble for the rest. Boston's already been conquered, SO
OUT SMALL WORLD!!
