Singer/Songwriter, RA Shawn, was born Rayshawn Murray in Boston, MA. This Boston born and raised artist grew up singing in church as a child and at the age of thirteen started writing short stories and poems and graduated to songwriting.
At the age of sixteen, RA Shawn began to grow a strong love and connection with R&B while listening to some of the greats including Donny Hathaway and Stevie Wonder.
RA Shawn practiced every day and night to improve his vocal ability and worked on finding his sound.
RA Shawn is known for clever wording and incorporating real life situations in his music with catchy hooks and remarkable concepts.
