Live from the southside of Chicago by way of L.A., Matt is definitely looking for his spot in hip hop. Although he is young at age 19, the young emcee has proven he can hold his own. Growing up in the "battle" scene of Chicago but also recognizing the impact that words have, his flow changes just about as much as his clothes. He turns from conscience backpacker, to outgoing teenager who's just having fun, just like that. In 2006-2007 he was on the P.A.C.E. high school tour(a tour that went to high schools in the L.A. area), and he started off the opening act, and by the end of the tour, he was the headliner, an accomplishment in its own right. Drawing inspiration from artists like Eminem and Jay-Z at an early age Matt wrote his first rhyme at age 10, and nine years later he feels he's ready. When asked what makes him different, he replies
"My age and my message make me unique. I’m here to let people in my age group and younger know that it’s cool to be yourself." he also adds "I’m just here to break stereotypes and misconceptions on what not only black teenagers are, but what all teenagers are. Since I’m their peer, I think my words will have a bigger impact than someone older who is trying to lecture, because I’m really going through the same things they are." His goal is to do what he loves for the rest of his life, so i can almost guarantee that he won't be going anywhere anytime soon, so i guess all u can do is get use to him as he makes his mark on the music business.NEW BANNER..YOU WANT IT?..I GOT IT
