Alessandro Baris, Leonardo Chirulli and Fabio Elia have been playing togheter in sort of rock bands until the winter of 2000 when they meet a rhythm section formed by Paolo Ibba and Luigi Caria.
After a short period of practice they start a new band choosing the name “Comfort”.
This five members line up has officially released two songs for two different compilations: "15id"(raving/wide) and "fragments"(psychotica/goodfellas).

The band has a 4 members line up: Paolo Ibba leaves the band and a new drummer Dario Arnone replaces Luigi Caria; the new line up starts working on new material which becomes later its debut record.
In the meantime Comfort appears on “The Letter; un unconventional italian guide to King Crimson”on Mellow records with the remake of K. C.'s song “We’ll let you know/Fracture”. Once the new material is ready, on march 2006, the band releases "ECLIPSE", a full-length recording on Psychotica - Goodfellas records, with the collaboration of ROGER SEIBEL (Tortoise, Calexico, Cat Power,...) mastering the recording at Sae Studios in Phoenix.

In between june and december Comfort decides to change the name into Comfort Collective, working on new material that will be later titled "Sleep Talking Shared" with the collaboration of additonal musicians and then finalized it in a 7-day recording session at the beginning of 2007 at Shape recording studio with Ivan Rossi, their sound engineer, who has also co-produced the recording.
So the music now includes different instruments such as Electric, Acoustic and Classical Guitars, Acoustic Piano, Flute, Drum Machines, Drums, Viola, Synthesizers and Vocals samplings.
The result is an etherogenous, challenging and colorful mix where each song has its own life and mood.
While managing a license for the record “Sleep talking Shared”, in June Comfort Collective makes a new soundtrack for “Un Chien Andaloù” - a Luis Bunuel and Salvador Dalì movie shooted in 1929 - for the festival Moviemento set up by the Gallery-Theatre “Toledo” in Naples.
Members of comfort have also collaborated with: Pulseprogramming, Mauro Orselli , Roberto Bellatalla, Orchestra Atipica Bonamici, Cristian Calcagnile, il Cane Celeste, Vonneumann , Ned Musica Estemporanea , Autobam , Caboto .
