About Me

Anyway.. a bit about me.. i come from South West England, Played guitar since i was about 10, and always had a interest in music and creative things, drawing, dreaming, that kind of thing.. Grew up and spent most of my school time thinking about being outside of thinking about music. Always travelled a lot, first with parents, then independantly, love feeling in a new place, but still being at home inside.

Met Mor (~See link below~) in Egypt next to the Red Sea, singing, I had my guitar (like a 3rd arm..?) so we played songs together, and we have been together ever since, she gives me a lot of inspiration with songs, and we share a musical home.
So, Blackbud the band in which I sing and play guitar, was created as a 'blues rock reggae fusion' band in december 2002 (according to Wikipedia... I cant remember!)
I met Adam Newton (bass) and Sam Nadel (drums), when I was soon to be leaving school, (St. Laurence- Bradford-on-avon) the 3 of us realised how good it would be to jam together and soon started playing covers in pubs beginning around Wiltshire and Somerset and eventually getting to Spain, The Netherlands, USA so far. We signed to the Independiente label and the rock and roll machine that is Blackbud... rolled on...
I have a few EPs and one album -'From the Sky' released, which are all available on Amazon or other stores. The band has been working on new recordings, part of a new album, planned for a release next year.
I am living in London now most of the time, this city is amazing and vast and beautiful and torturous depending on the mood. Living life around music, i think for me is the only way to be. I meet musicians, jam, go to all kinds of concerts and gigs to listen and to play...write in tattered notebooks, play guitar a lot, try to eat, make up songs about anything serious or ridiculous...
I play bits and pieces of Blues, folk, Jazz, Flamenco, rock, classical, Gypsy, i have some beautiful instruments, Arctic White Strat, 60s Red Gibson 335, Black and Gold Paisley Telecaster, an Oud from Cairo, A Japanese shamisen, a Fender Steelstring Acoustic, My current pride and joy is the Spanish guitar... just purchased a nice flamenco guitar (Esteve 2GR5F) after smashing the last (brand new) one... tragedy... I got given a ridiculously strange powerful super distortion tiny bodied guitar by a friend... (he said to use it for slide...) I was using a friends old Yamaha 12 string a while ago, which can be great for writing songs, anyway i find myself ranting... unless you love guitars you may be bored by now, so,
Hope you like the music and videos here (some may be previews of later album material), there are things on Youtube too of me solo and Blackbud, and other collaborations, check out the things I do with Mor (linked in my friends), thanks for reading, feel free to write to me
