About Me

Jess Morgan is an extremely hard-working songwriter, who performs with energy and conviction. Jess has been hailed a folk/country artist but she is also heavily influenced by soul, blues and gospel music which she incorperates into her individual style. She gigs with acoustic guitar and harmonica and occaisionally ventures into piano, accordian and light pecussion! All Jess' recordings are recorded in a live and organic style which prioritises 'feel' and performance over swishy production and perfection. The Jess Morgan sound is one that is raw, authentic and distinctive.Jess was born in Norwich but now studys in London. She gigs regularly in London but, as the eternal train-traveller, she keeps strong ties with the city of York and the north and the home-turf of East Anglia. Jess can usually be found performing at acoustic showcases and club nights but she also enjoys supporting bands and other artists on bigger stages such as London's The Fly.There has been industry interest in Jess, but for now she aims to spread the word about her music and performances and to build an even bigger repertoire of varied and strong songs. When she's taking a break from singing, Jess also makes great music videos which can be seen via my links (below) and via Youtube.
