(...MORE AURAL WANKING AND LESS TALENT PLEASE...)

LPX
The hard-hitting life story (according to me!!) is a long and fucking dull one, but here are the highlights
April 2002: Initial ideas and experiments with myself and the various Dave Rigney/Colm Rochford/Kevin Hartnett incarnations of what was "lube: Project_X"
September 2003: First short film soundtrack, "15 Minutes", is released - it's shite (and so is the film)
January 2004: First live 'lube: Project_X' performance (nowt like a little stage wanking - but don't worry, I eventually gain a personality!)
June 2005: First live LPX show (to about twelve somewhat bemused folks)
November 2006: Debut EP, "Easy Music for Difficult Ears", is released. People fall at my feet - I gain an ego and piss on their raggedy souls (I still haven't been forgiven....)
December 2006/August 2007: "Experiments in Dub and HiFi" is released and falls through the fucking floor (woops... ahh well, might as well carry on like a trooper!) Re-released in August 2007 for no apparent reason other than to spend a shitload of cash!
January 2008: "Seventeen" EP due out 7th January 2008 - do me a favour and buy the fucking thing!!!

LPX according to Blogorrah.com
1. LPX is Kildare man Leigh O'Gorman. Wait - is it LPX or The LPX? We're not that sure about the whole definitive article thing - he uses it himself occasionally on MySpace, but no one else seems to. Frankly, we're not cool enough to know right from wrong here - we work on the interweb. And there's nowt cool about that.
2. LPX specialises in brooding punk infused experimental electronica, as heard on two recent (and highly recommended) releases, Experiments in Dub and HiFi and Easy Music for Difficult Ears.
3. If you want something done right, do it yourself. That's Leigh all over. On LPX releases he provides the (occasional) vocals, the programming, the production AND plays all the instruments. Maybe he's just shy.
4. Leigh is also the man behind The Electric Fix, a musical collective running gigs around Dublin. Get your fix HERE .
5. Leigh says his music sounds like "a bunch of nerds in a small room dropping acid". Sounds like a Blogorrah production meeting. Well, except for the 'dropping acid' bit.
Leigh is currently taking a short break from the live circuit as the world has fallen to shit!!!

"Seventeen" Review(s)...
THE TORTURE GARDEN
I dream of a night that might feel like this song sounds. It makes me want to sit in the backseats of cars, paying no attention, going nowhere, and looking forward to getting there.
It pushes along in its city way, dirty old town, casting itself in a lead role of a small scale epic: not that this song is all style, it's more than that, it's a feeling, like the title track of Kid A with fully grown legs, jazz put through tapped out electronica.
LPX makes fine music from these things, you can download his record here if you like. You should.
