The convention was a lot of fun! Justin, Darlene, Andrew and Alex turned out some amazing tattoos, as usual, and Justin won first prize in the small black and grey category for the INCREDIBLE JFK portrait he did on Adam's hand...sick!
A reminder, our good friend Jake LaBotz is playing at the Brendan Behan on October 4th...check out his page, the Tattoo across America Tour-
September 6, 2007 Yes, we will be at the Boston Tattoo Convention this weekend-come down and say hi at our booth! Darlene, Justin, Chad, Andrew and Alex will all be working (call the shop for the specific schedule) and Ram will be around but not tattooing. Juliette will be doing temporary tattoos for kids on Saturday, benefiting local pit bull rescue Pits are Love (www.pitsarelove.org), and will be a judge in Saturday night's tattoo contests. for more info check out the BTC myspace page or www.bostontattooconvention.org. This is a fun convention in part because it's at the Cyclorama- an intimate venue- and Natan (Darkwave and Lightwave Tattoo) does a great job putting it on!

Check out the mini-movie about Fat Ram on Needled.com. go to http://www.needled.com/ and then look under videos for "Ram". Cool, huh?
Check out all of our 5-star reviews on Yelp! http://www.yelp.com/biz/fuJcmSTAdmmhkPV2bMPAUg
Once again, Fat Ram has been voted Boston's best tattoo artist by the readers of the Boston Phoenix. Thank you for all your votes and support! And no, none of the rumors are true, that we are moving, or that you CAN'T get an appointment with Ram. You can, you just have to be very, very patient- he is booked for the rest of 2007. He will start seeing new clients again in August.
Our new website is ALMOST done, we know it's taking a while! but we're obviously very busy. And we know that pumpkintattoo.com isn't working- it will be when the new site goes up.

We are heartbroken to say that Drexel has left us for the great big couch in the sky. He passed away last Thursday the 22nd after a long and valiant battle with lymphoma. He was our friend and mascot and so much more. We will miss and remember him forever. Thank you all who supported us and him on this journey.
love,
Ram and Juli
Hi everyone,
While not busy tattooing, we've been hard at work on art, our website and many other things. First we'd like to announce the opening of our Pumpkin Tattoo storefront at Cafe Press. Check it out at www.cafepress.com/pumpkintattoo. We have tons of great stuff for sale there, from T-shirts and sweatshirts to doggy Ts and courier bags. Right now everything features the artwork of Chad Chesko and more designs will be uploaded soon.
Our industrious webguy Pete is almost done with our new and improved website. The best part about it for us is that it will be very easy for us to update it on our end, so for you that means a more interesting site that's updated with new photos and content much for often. Feel free to drop us a line with any feedback about the site now and how you think we could step it up.
We are thrilled to have been voted "Best Tattoo Shop" in Boston for the second year in a row by the readers of the Weekly Dig! Thank you all, we appreciate this very much, and will continue to strive to give you the best in tattooing and customer service.
We have many exciting changes coming up in PumpkinTattooLand - starting with our website. Our new and improved site will be up soon. In the meantime, we do know that www.pumpkintattoo.com is down- someone swiped our domain registration and we're working on getting it back. But www.fatramtattoo.com is still working. Until the new site is up, though, check here for the latest updates.
We're happy to welcome our newest artist, Andrew Snowden. Andrew just moved here from SF and is a great tattooer. Come see his portfolio!
The new T-shirts are done, we have an awesome new design by Chad Chesko, and we've brought back the original Fat Ram design from 2001. I'll post pictures as soon as I have them.
We have been Boston's first choice for tattoos since we opened in September of 2001. Prior to that, Fat Ram worked at studios in New York, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, California, Maryland, Texas, and others, and also underground here in Boston. This is his 18th year tattooing., and he has the clientele and waiting list to prove it! Our mission is to provide our clients with the finest quality custom tattooing, and to make the tattoo experience wholly positive and memorable, no matter if it's the first or 50th tattoo. We have several other gifted artists: Chad Chesko, Darlene DiBona, Justin Kopec, Andrew Snowden, and Fat Ram's apprentice Alex Dawes. Each has their own unique style. We are proud to be a very diverse tattoo shop, style-wise: we can do any style and do an outstanding job! We have a rotating group of stellar visiting artists, including Dave Shoemaker, Hannah Aitchison, Billy Hill, Greg Rojas, Antonio Fonseca, Hector Fong, Karina Figueroa, Iggy Vans, Captain Morgan, Donnie from Texas, and others. Our shop has been featured in many publications, including: Tattoo Flash, International Tattoo Art, Prick Magazine, Iron Horse Magazine, The Boston Phoenix, The Weekly Dig, the Boston Herald, The Boston Globe, The School of Museum of Fine Arts Alumni Magazine, the South End News, and has been featured on numerous TV programs as well. We were voted Best Tattoo Studio In Boston 2005 in both the Weekly Dig and the Boston Phoenix. We are very friendly and down to earth. Come see us any time! Visit our website at www.pumpkintattoo.com.
