Louise MacGregor is a performer who lives to connect with humankind, through songs gut wrenching and hilarious alike.
Writing since her early teens,Louise recieved encouragment to continue in 2001, being invited to perform live on triple J, as part of the Unearthed competition. Writing, performing and teaching then grew from a full time passion to a full time profession. Louise completed her diploma in music and a course in Musician Self-Management, run by Clare Bowditch.
With a voice trained in jazz yet described as 'sweet country tinged soprano' and accompanied by 'Frank' her acoustic guitar, Louise's performances are consistantly compelling.
In the last year she fell in love, moved to a community minded/artistic/drought riddled/bushfire ravaged small town, played her first festivals and became an instant step mother. So many lessons. Possibly the biggest being learning how to cope with old men in pubs requesting khe Sahn...
What wonderful inspirations for her best songs yet...
