I am a DJ-Producer from Melbourne, Australia. I spent the past 18 months in Tokyo and have just returned home. I have performed and produced music under various names; Lava Musique Ensemble, Supersquare... and have been lucky enough to play alongside the likes of Herbert, Snowboy, Jimi Tenor/Nicole Willis, Steve Bug, Olanskii, Rob Mello, Ennio Styles...My music appears on labels like nightclubbing.music (Germany), Tone Control, Groovescooter and Instictive Travels. Forthcoming releases will appear on Beyondjazz, DiY Diversions (UK), DHP and Red Box. As a DJ I ran "Audrey" and "Microsoul" at republika in Melbourne and have played at some great clubs in Melbourne. Musically, I guess I'm all over the shop. I dig the melancholy that is found in really good music. There's something about subtle repitition that soothes the soul. Simple melody will always play a part in the music I make and the music I listen too. Then again, I can't really go past a stanked-up b-line!
