ABOUT ME
I'm from Melbourne in Australia, which is a cool joint. I started playing piano when I was a kid and after discovering guys like Wynton Kelly and Kenny Barron, my head turned to jazz. Since then I've worked as a session player both live and recording with many diverse artists like The Bamboos (AUST), Eddie Floyd (US), Eddie Bo (US), Alice Russell (UK), The Quantic Soul Orchestra (UK) and The Drifters (US). I was a co-founder of Equatorial Records which showcased the best of Melbourne's soulful club producers and I've done a bunch of projects under different names, too many to mention. My remixes and releases have had support from the likes of Gilles Peterson, Nik Weston, Adrain Gibson, Snowboy, Paul Murphy and Mad Mats.
I like to drink a cold beer in summer and a nice red in winter. I miss the surf already, will have to hit France soon!!!! Check back for gig and DJ updates! WERD, Bennson.
