About Me

Jennifer Xerri is on a mission to educate your ear into another dimension. The inroduction began in the early 90's while being educated herself, amongst some of the most talented and respected artists that have come out of Detroit. In 1992 she began collecting records. It wasn't long after that her curiousity grew into the bigger vision of becoming a dj. In 1995 this became a reality and the inspiration allowed her to seek out rare and unique music that only a brave dj will dare to play. With passion and relentless spirit, her journey has led her to become a solid presence amongst the Detroit Elite, playing alongside some of the dj's she has admired for years. Her name has appeared next to Dj Minx, Theo Parrish, Alton Miller, Mike Clark, Stacey Pullen, John Arnold, D. Wynn, Richie Hawtin, John Aquaviva, and Mike Huckaby (just to name a few.) Her passion began because of a pure love for the music. Her Detroit education led her to have very selective taste in music. Djing became a labour of love, and it wasn't long before Dj Minx heard of the new lady on the scene, and quickly brought her into the Women on Wax family. Her most recent appearance representing Women on Wax was at 2006 DEMF, on the mainstage alongside Dj Minx and Diviniti. She appeared as a regular guest at Sakana Sushi lounge in 2006 as well, offering an eclectic loungy house vibe for a more laid back audience. Her deep style encompasses lounge, tech house, nujazz, deephouse and classics which makes her a very versatile dj. With an uncompromising level of commitment, she is dedicated to pushing the envelope to bring about a unique experience that sets her apart from the rest. With an uncanny ear she allows the music to speak for itself, while adding appeal and sophistication with her intuitive sense to bring about a deep journey from a Detroit perspective. Currently Jennifer is pursuing music production and is willing to elevate her dj abilities into new territory. This natural progression is refining and shaping her keen sense of taste as a dj as well. Jennifer will continue to aspire in the name of deep house music, a thumping pulse that resonates within the depths of her being.. only to share with you in hopes that the music will indeed elevate your soul to another level.
