With the recent resurgence of West Coast Hip Hop, the Bays underground scene is still as vibrant as ever with up-and-coming talent. One such artist is DJ/Producer/MC SoloFlex, whose raw energy, revitalizing and melodic beats, turntable terror, versatility, and seasoned experience serve as an antidote for formulaic stagnation. Fashioning his own authentic sound works not only to highlight his raw energy, and beat skills, but also leaves the listener with more than just a nostalgic feel.PREVIOUS PROJECTS SoloFlex has dedicated more than half of his life to the creation and promotion of music. His resume includes:- DJ for Richmond California crew 10PM(1994)- DJ for Oakland California crew Unidentified(1995)- DJ for legendary Richmond California West Coast lyricist Ptah Allah(1996-2001)- DJ for Oakland Artist Bazialini- "Wordz From Solomon" produced by Casual of the Hieroglyphics. This song was featured on DJ Q -Sak's(of Artists Over Industry) "Limitless Artists Volume 2 mixtape (2005) (Harrisburg Pennsylvania)- DJ for Oakland California artist Esinchill at a live show(2001)- Stand in member for Bay Area music group Dealers Of Life. Co-wrote and produced music with positive messages for a project called "Arrested Realities and Convicted Dreams"(2003)-Worked as a Community Outreach Manager for a record label based out of the Bay Area called Vicarious Living Productions/VLP69 Records. Lead discussions with groups of youth on violence in their communities and positive alternatives, and came up with the song concept/title as well as the video locations for the DVD project titled "Chalk Lines"(2003) - Produced two songs on upcoming EP by Southern California's own Mahal-check top list to hear her music.(2006) - Produced "Time" for music artist Dream Nefra (2007)Current Projects EP PROJECT: Currently being cooked up in the lab is a unique ep project featuring a diverse array of emcees expressing themselves over instrumentals provided by SoloFlex as well as other producers(stay tuned for tracklist). The theme of the ep project will be focusing on the preservation of authentic music from the soul. Also in the works SoloFlex will be doing some production for the Bay Area's own reggae artist Luv Fyah, as well as Hip Hop artist Dream Nefra, Truth aka NP, Attica Black, Lord Takim of 7odz, and a few others...
