LS began as Austin's premier weekly dance event with resident Ian Orth helming it's legendary forward thinking, finger-on-the-pulse-anything-goes direction, inviting guests such as Tim Sweeney, JD Twitch of OPTIMO, Dave P and JDH from FIXED, and James Friedman, to make frequent guest stops behind the decks. It seemed only natural that when Ian's long time best friend Jeramy Neugent moved back to Austin from his stint at Motormouth in Los Angeles, where he honed his PR skills working with amazing bands like Animal Collective, Cass McCombs, Marissa Nadler, Femi Kuti etc, that they launch Learning Secrets Media. The boutique firm's main focus is to help expose people to bands, music, and lifestyles they feel are basically...well...the "bees knees" at the moment. They want to promote the things they love and hopefully they'll become the things you love, so you'll be able to depend on them for bringing you the new new shit through media, events, DJing, and if they have to, Water Boarding!
