About Me
BIOGRAPHY
"Imagine that dingy, dark, smoke ridden jazz bar in the back streets of London Town. Imagine that deep, thick, sultry voice, those words.....so real, so believable. Imagine the band, so untypically perfect. Imagine the music........listen"
EMA WAKEFORD'S LIVE SHOWS COMING SOON!
"I want to bring great jazz back to my generation, through the reality of my lyrics. My music is about you believing what I have to say, my songs are about the things that happen to me, to my friends and ultimately all of us, so you as the listener can relate to them."
Managed by Martin Heath (The Killers), Ema is co-writing with the likes of Simon Ellis (Musical Director Spice Girls World Tour 2007, S-Club-7), Tim Hawes, Tom Ingleby, and Liam Bailey amongst many others.
With a fully functional contemporary jazz band consisting of pianist, double bassist, two guitarists, saxiphonist and drums, Ema is busily rehearsing to start gigging come October/November 2007.
"With session work & vocal credits for O2, a regular vocalist for the National Youth Jazz Orchestra, BA(Hons) Contemporary Music Degree in the works, a development deal offer from Music World Entertainment, a growing fan base & media interest and an unfailing determination to succeed, expect to see and hear a great deal more from me in the near future!" x
Philanthropy is really important to me & I know how important it is to give back to others. I give my complete support and regularly donate to the NSPCC in total belief that domestic violence & cruelty to children must stop. Full stop.

KEYSOC is a relatively new charity dedicated to RAISING AWARENESS OF THE KEY SYMPTOMS OF OVARIAN CANCER is a charity I want as many people as possible to actively support. I want women all over the world to be aware of the danger of not knowing the symptoms of ovarian cancer, it took my beautiful aunt at the age of 44, it can take anyone, it has no mercy.

A charity very close to my heart is EVERY CHILD which helps 121 million children across the world, with no opportunity to go to school & 246 million having to work to survive. Children are being abused, exploited or forced to live in appalling conditions that we can barely imagine. I regularly donate with the faith that we can help the innocent victims of poverty and exploitation.
