About Me

James and George often discussed the possibility of forming a promotion company to help promote local artists to a wider audience.
Sallyforth had made a lot of important friends and contacts within the music industry. James had a natural ability to find gigs and promote bands, an ability he had perfected with Sallyforth, and George had started studying a music business degree.
James and George were excited about their ideas but the formation of the company was still in the pipeline.
Sadly James passed away in a tragic accident on the 4th December 2006.
James’s parents with Georges help, decided that the company would go ahead using both James and George’s original ideas as well as creating the website Sallyforthmusic.com

We would like to thank everyone who came to the funeral, in helping James get an amazing send off. James parents Pam and Bill would also like to thank everyone for their continuing support during this period of time.
Thank you all so much for the kind words

For those who may not already know, James Holden sadly passed away in the early hours of the morning on December 4th. We very sadly lost our dear friend and band brother in a tragic car accident.
He was loved by his band, the band he worked so hard for, and I know he has touched many of you as well. Whether that was through his songwriting, musicianship, or just his great personality, wit and charm.
He was one in a million and a genuinely great person, He will always be remembered.
Thank you for inspiring us all James.
Love

Thanks James for inspiring us all and helping Sallyforth live the Rock + Roll dream even if it was for a shorter period then expected.
I guess now we will never know if you were going to be "bald as a coot" at the age of 20, or if you were going to join a busted tribute band after Sallyforth. But I know we were having the best fun ever in Guildford, it was like one big holiday, and we were all loving it. I will never forget how much of a prankster you were, the amount of silly games we came up with in the car whilst on our way to gigs, your constant fashion tips, apparently "brown doesn't go with black but it does on George because he wears shoes" and all the great experiences we had together. You have influenced us all with your words of wisdom in your song writing, and you will never be forgotten.
Take care dear friend,
Love
George xxxx
