About Me

Things were real cool in the beginning. Me & my friends were just spittin' rhymes & having fun. Making money was the last thing on our minds. The 4 or 5 of us would get together in my crib after school, I'd throw on some beats that I've recorded off of 92Q the previous friday, hit the record button on my radio,& we'd just party & rhyme without a care in the world. When the wheather was nice sometimes I'd leave the window open just to draw a small croud of naighborhood kids who dug the sounds & wanted to be down. We were jammin', so that's were i got my name, Jammer ..1. It was a title I'd use at times kind of like how K.R.S. 1 is The Blast Master. My real name is J.W. Hudson. My first name stood for nothing until my home boys in The New Testiment (mycrew)gave me the bright idea to simplify my title into a name (like so; Jamma* Wun) & give it some more meaning. I love my name cause it's not a emcee's name, but the name a graffiti artist would have (Jammer 1). Cool, right? I didn't get bit by the star bug until 5 yrs. later when I was 19 & a whole lot nicer. It was that 1st 15 minutes of fame when me & my partner D-zo had that interview with Vinnie V on Morgan State's radio show "strictly hip hop" 88.9. When they played our song Baltimore aint show nothing but love to us that night. Baltimore?!!???. Yep. & that's when i was like ,"Yeah! I could live with this." The song they played was named "The Smooveness" we were the Smoove Individuals. cool right! I know. As a matter of fact i hated that name. The only thing cool about that name was the way it manifested into this heeping blister of sexy talent before you. It became my sound all together. The unique style of rhymes & the hyper mellow beats. Mama have created a monster. My next 15 mins. of fame came when I was 20. At a Baltimore club called Indigo's. All of the local crews would show up & flaunt their skills on stage. This is when I 1st started making beats. Long story short, a few of my boys hit the stage & represented on one of my tracks & niggas went crazy. I mean it was like, "YO!!!! YO!! Who made that track!!! Oh my god!!!. Fingers started pointin' my way. Niggas had me feelin like Mike or something. They wanted to be like me. A good beat can get you pussy too. Look at that dude Pharell. You think chics dig him cause of his good looks? Hell no. That nigga's the biggest nerd that ever could be. But, you know what i say? When booties shake hymans break. Uh huh. Check it out. Just like your boy pharell i'm a big a-- nerd too... only I aint rich. No matter. My vibration lands me all types of nana. Once i met a girl. She could sing really good, but I didn't know that. I just thought she was cute, so I was like, "listen to this!" playing her a instrumental. She was like, "Ooh! Who's that!" "That's me." I replied confidently. "I got a bunch of those old things layin around the house," pretending like it wasn't a big thing. She revealed to me that she could sing (yes the girl was bad. she complimented my music so lovely) & gave me a call later. Over the next few months we'd make a few joints & they was bumpin', until one day. She asked for a back rub. I'm a nice guy so i did it. That was the night i accidently fell in the nookie. See? them beats'll get you in trouble, boy. Later I found it wasn't my charm & wits that she wanted. She wanted the mistro. Who's that? Don't distort it though. I'm far from a pig. I love when strangers (especially babes} approach me on the street to compliment me on my art. I hate to walk in a room & forget what I came for. I love odd conversations but, I hate when people say, "There's no such thing as a stupid question." I love attention, especially the attention I get when I'm on the stage. I love performances (good ones) too. I took to the stage like a fish to the sea. Over the years I've learned a lot of tricks by finding inspiration in classic footage of the masters. The Rolling Stones, Bob Marly, Marvin Gaye & rock god bands like The Doors & Lead Zepplin (who inspired me to grow my hair) taught me. I've learned from movies, "Purple Rain", "Ray", & "The Blues Brothers" how to perform like a rock star. I can't give them all of the glory though, because it was Boogie Down Productions, Dig Daddy Kane, L.L. Cool J, N.W.A., & The Native Tounge that showed me how to move the crowd. Finally, when I became a half decent performer I moved to Atlanta & met Know Massive, SKY HY, C'Beyohn, (Chyle), & Faona Strong, but you can call us The Fresh Air Foundation. Next thing you know every show was 15 mins. of fame. If you can imagine a crazy dope collective of hip hop odd balls on the stage taring it up, that's what it is. Hey!! You might a crazy dope odd ball if you actually sat through this whole thing... Peace. God Bless.I edited my profile at Freeweblayouts.net , check out these Myspace Layouts! Myspace Graphics
