Ana "Temple" Abram has been performing poetry since 2003. She is one of the founding members of Anne Arundel Community Colleges Poetry and Lyric Performance Club were with a group of young intelligent and talented students Temple sought to change the cultural landscape of the Campus through poetry and performance. Temple has performed in and helped organize 8 successful Poetry and Lyric Performance shows since 2003. Temple assumed her current name when searching for a word to describe how she and all other women deserve to be treated...thus the birth of Temple. Temple makes regular appearances at Warm Wednesdays, organic Soul, Art of Conversation, and interpretation Sundays. Temple is currently working on her first Spoken word CD and has participated in the Art of Conversation Compilation CD which features other artists such as Hanalyn, Luminous, E da poet emcee, Shelby jade, Sir Reigns and many more talented artists. Temple is also the founder of Rebellious Poets Society, a womens poetry and networking group focused on bringing a sense of family to the Baltimore poetry scene. Known for her infectious spirit of happiness and excitement Temple seeks to touch and inspire the masses through her poetry while bringing a sincerely honest and human aspect to the stage with her. Temple is affiliated with Poetry for the People of Baltimore and Torchlight entertainment. Other than her poetic dealings Temple currently makes her living as a House Manager at Believe in Tomorrow, a respite house for critically ill children and their families. She also serves as a Jumpstart Corp member at Morgan State University where she is currently pursuing her Bachelors degree in Sociology. Temple is in the infant stages of developing an outreach center designed to benefit the children of Baltimore City that focuses on black identity, black arts, community building, community health, and all around uplifting of a people. Temple also volunteers for Katrina on the Ground, an organization that is focused and dedicated to reclaiming New Orleans for the people that were pushed out by the governments inaction. Temple seeks to change the world one lost little girl or boy at a time.
