Lykaion was formed in 2000 by the remaining members of another band called Creepy Shadow and after many vicissitudes and many line-up changes, a stable formation was found in 2004, composed by Luca Mazzilli on vocals, Fabio Valentini and Alessandro Sforza on guitar, Valerio Miseferi on bass and Andrea Alberati on the drums. In January 2005 Lykaion recorded the promo Behind a Whisper, which received many positive reivews was promoted through many concerts, both in Rome and other cities. At the end of 2005 Luca Mazzilli unexpectedly left the band. So Lykaion started to look for another singer, finding Tiziana Palmieri in 2006. The great vocal versatility of Tiziana allowed the band to further develop the aggressive parts and to create persuasive melodies. At the same time the sound of the band evolved. It became more personal and took a more progressive modern feel, open to both extremely aggressive sounds (Nevermore, Opeth, Katatonia, Killswitch Engage) and to different dynamics unrelelated to metal (Last Anathema). In may 2006 Lykaion recorded their new promo The Things I've Left, a more accurate work than the others, in the 16th Cellar Studios. At the moment Lykaion are promoting their latest work, performing in the major clubs of Rome and throughout Italy, and they are looking for a recording contract.
