Good Things Come To Those Who Walk
Believe. And We Believe. That is why I have chosen to walk, alongside a Team of 15 other remarkable women. We are the "911 Angels" and We believe that every step we take will make a difference. We know that this is a great challenge but we are very excited about doing it because we know that it will make a real difference to the millions of people affected by breast cancer. We walk because it is our stance that we will do everything possible so that another loved one will never have to endure the pain that this damaging disease is capable of. We are motivated to walk for so many different reasons. We walk in honor of our loved ones who have already lost the battle, to celebrate the survivors and to support those currently undergoing medical treatment with many prayers and every bit of HOPE in their hearts.
We are the "911 Angels", a group of girlfriends bound together to make a difference for a very important cause. Most of us are Public Safety Dispatchers and have been trained to answer the 911 call when someone is in crisis and to send help as quickly as possible, it's our job. But our desire to serve our community and help others in need certainly doesn't cease at the end of our shift. We will walk and we will keep on walking until Breast Cancer is eradicated.
There are 2 organizations whose mission we faithfully support in the fight against Breast Cancer: The Avon Walk for Breast Cancer and Susan B. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.We have each committed to raise at least $2,000 for each walk. Our 1st Team has already started preparing, training and fundraising for a 2 day walk through the hills of San Francisco on July 8th and 9th. But when that walk is complete we plan to keep on walking ... There is a 2nd Team who will be walking in the Susan B. Komen 3 day walk. Our destination is unknown and the date for that walk has yet to be announced. So stay tuned ....
