THE BANTERGON [recording new EP]

We are ...::: The Bantergon :::... from Graz. We characterize our self as a Political-Punk/Hardcore band who deals with subjects where most people look away and don’t want to confront with these. We think that our lyrics inspire people to cogitation about the current situation of today’s society. It’s close to ours heart to clarify humanity and to show people the “true” reality.
Since the concert with Walls of Jericho and Final Prayer – July 2007 a lot of things have changed. Positives but negatives too. Finally our website is online. Many thanks to Georg our webmaster and good friend! Without him nothing would work. Under “Media” you will find our first EP (Marionettes of Society) and you can download all 4 songs + lyrics. Things have changed – the negative part… After the concert in July our drummer left our band because of time problems. Retrospect – a good decision. So we were searching for a new guy on our drums and after some practising with Tom 20er (Antimaniax) he recommended us a nice guy from Trieben, who had enough time too :). By Peter we have learnt the “triebener” way of life and from this moment we knew that he is our new drummer-boy. All about practising… but it worked perfectly. Time flows away and the first concert in new constellation was near. We were invited by our Grazian Hardcore-Friendz “Kid Poetry” and the new elite “Father and Gun” – two awesome bands! ?And the concert? Niiiiiiice – blood, sweat and an amazing affection! Now we are recording our new EP (D.I.Y.). We’ll upload a foretaste soon on myspace. After our presentation several live shows will follow and there will be new merch for you!
So there’s much to do for us in 2008! It would be cool to see you girlz and boyz @ our concerts. So support your local scene, “YOU” resume the existence of bands like us!
