Father And Gun (commonly abbreviated as F&G) is a GRAZian, modern hardcore punk band from Austria. They are known for their unique live performances on every stage they find and their modern hardcore sound, usually avoiding standard songs structures paired with personal lyrics and positive message. The F&G band project is a mixture between new young energy and traditional old spirit. Some call it modern hardcore. Members from local bands like Bounz The Ball, The Minute Between and Paid For Reality met the next generation of young fucked up hardcore kids to write songs and go on tour again.
In November 2007, F&G recorded their first 7 songs, they have ever written. After their first shows in Austria and a common tour with Heartbreak Kid from Germany, Father And Gun announced they had signed with RiseOrRust Records Austria and will release their debut songs on common split record with One Win Choice (Jumpstart Records/USA) in spring 2009.
F&G is just a (hardcore) band not to change the world, but Father And Gun hope they can make some people feel less alone and motivate them to think for themselves, be themselves and take action or create a band, too!(Grazian) hardcore is more than music…and it..s our only way to glory!
