On the surface- a quiet , mild mannered man, eager to discuss the trivial tribulations of a mundane existence over a nice cup of tea. Beneath the surface- a bruised and lashed mind, seething with festering wounds from a barren, lost and loveless society. The Sinking Citizenship sonically embrace this dichotomy. Formed in Melbourne in mid-2002, Matthew Cox (drums), Kristian Roberts (guitar, vocals) and John Forbes (bass) combined influences from the more experimental bands of the early eighties and nineties with the evergreen aesthetic of a ripper tune.
