IndieProducer is a filmmaking community that provides networking opportunities, workshops, mentoring programs, in-depth interviews and a website built to inform and inspire IP members and guests. With an emphasis on connecting new talent with veterans in film, IP reaches out to working professionals who want to give back to the next generation of filmmakers. The IP Screenwriting and Short Film Contests celebrate the work of new talent and provides them with access to high-profile producers, directors, writers, agents and studio executives. The Annual IP Awards Gala is IndieProducer’s biggest event of the year. This event was created to honor the winners of the IP Screenwriting and Short Film Contest and to recognize a successful filmmaker for their contribution to the art of film with the IP “Outstanding Contribution to Film” Award. Past recipients have been actor, writer, producer and director, Jon Favreau, actor, writer, and director, Bill Paxton, and most recently, actor, producer, and director, Andy Garcia. The IP judges and key note speakers consist of Oscar-nominated screenwriters, award-winning producers and directors, and an impressive assortment of accomplished agents, executives and managers in both Television and Film. IndieProducer also holds quarterly “IP Schmoozefests”, where our guests have the unique opportunity to network in a relaxed party environment with 6-8 industry professionals (the IndieProducer “VIP Mentors”), ask career questions and receive advice from veterans in the industry.
