TIEDYE BLACK - Thursdays at TDK's ****AVAILABLE NOW - Just released - July 1st, 2008****A COLLECTION OF TOE TAPPERS AND FINGER SNAPERS.........
Recorded over several Thursdays, the TIEDYE BLACK sessions were a little musical sanctuary in the midst of the hectic lives of working musicians; like a weekly musical summer BBQ with no one leaving hungry; while creating a glorious masterpiece of musical expression; so rich in texture and feeling, one can sense in some way the profound truth contained therein; a true expression of their joy of music from a close camaraderie of life long friends - who just happen to be world class musicians, to boot!
TIEDYE BLACK's Thursdays at TDK's - a co-production between TIEDYE Keith and Vernon Ice BLACK - a collection of toe tappers and finger snappers in a traditional jazz quartet style that will also appeal to jam band and jazz fusion enthusiasts.

TDK WORLD MUSIC JAM ****AVAILABLE NOW - Just released - May 15th, 2008****
immediate downloads and song samples are available NOW - either at the above cdbaby link, iiTunes link or right here on this page.....look above in the "store" - please remember, in either case, "Jam or Jelly" is broken into 8 individual tracks to played without delay between parts---so please remember to download JAM OR JELLY pt.1 through JAM OR JELLY pt.8 to ensure downloading the entire 30 minute piece......Many thanks...Heck, be the first to post an official cd REVIEW on the above cdbaby page link - we are very interested in everyone's feedback on this particular cd project
all instrumental designed to capture the essence of the unique talents of our amazing world class virtuoso players. The title track "JAM OR JELLY" simply is a one of a kind piece of music not being made in this day an age.....reminiscent of reaching to levels (humbly) within the tone of Bitches Brew sessions, where pushing the envelop is THE goal........JAM OR JELLY is a 30 minute improv piece which covers a lot of ground and is sure to take willing listeners on a bountiful journey, if the listener is open and willing to be taken for a ride
.......Amazingly, it was recorded basically totally blind, no prep one shot wonder. present in the moment and reacting as a cohesive unit. More of the jazz-fusion side is highlighted than ever before, and it is a much different project than any prior TDK releases to date.
As a matter of note, it features the worlds sweetest gentleman, Vince Welnick which was tracked a year prior to his tragic demise; it was a joyous day and Vince was especially generously kind and deeply giving......as you can imagine, a period of healing needed to pass to lessen the emotional charge of working on Vince's tracks. The distance of time was necessary and proved in serving our honoring of Vince's work here for the best We love and miss you Vince, ...Imagine, from THE TUBES to THE GRATEFUL DEAD; talk about long strange trips that've been, that rates right up there with the best of them.....

WELCOME HOME (2005)------------
the debut album release of S.F. Bay Area artist, 'TieDye' Keith is an appropriate title for the first commercial solo recording of this 25-year veteran musician and songwriter. This is the first in a series of blues-infused, jazzy funk-rock jams of Keith's self-penned material
Welcome Home (and its successors) viscerally embody TieDye Keith's love and appreciation of life, music and love itself: from the rippingly funky pop-opening "Big World" to the last beats of the spontaneous world-music collective cacaphony of the improvosational "Tribe 39". This is as much about the labor of love as it is one. The dense, rich, full-band sound weaves you complexly through parts of the ever-unfolding experience of life and love.

HOME SWEET HOME (2005)---------------
the second release from the studios of TieDye Keith, leaps onto the scene as the soul-brother companion to "Welcome Home", released earlier this year. Companion in nearly every aspect of the word--in fact, more like twins separated at birth: the songs were written and the initial tracks were laid down at the same time. Make no mistake, though, these are no sloppy seconds or leftovers, "Home Sweet Home" is a great second course that stands, jumps, swings and twirls on its own.
Just listening to the way "Sweet Maria" jumps off the line as the first track and sweeps you up with its powerful saxophone line, and you're ready for more of TieDye Keith's full-bodied , rich and intricate melodies, arrangements and lyrics.
With this hand-picked selection and variety of full-flavored tunes, the album really does weigh in well with its predecessor not only as its companion, but its complement as well.

PORTRAIT OF CLAUDINE (08/2007)
Our dear friend and featured guest vocalist Tony Lindsay (best known as Carlos Santana's front man for over 14 years) reached into his soul and dug out a serious depth of greatness that makes him the grammy award winning singer he truly is (a boat load of 11 grammy's currently reside on Tony's mantel). Norbert Stachel shows why he is well known as THE virtuoso horn-smith. Myron Dove's Bass, Vernon Black's Guitar and John Seppala's keyboards are perfect examples of THE SAN FRANCISCO SOUND Tiedye Keith is dedicated to nurturing......in fact, I believe TDK perfectly captures the spirit of "THE SAN FRANCISCO SOUND" in it's purity......
This cd is one thorough work of art, through and through....from tune selection, song flow, musicianship, production quality, mixing job, final mastering quality, packaging, etc.....it's rare these days to find a cd that becons the days of LP's where the total album was one work of art, rather than the modern days hit singles thrown in with a bunch of tunes and packaged as a c, blah blah blah.......
PORTRAIT OF CLAUDINE was honored by being mixed by the legendary TOM FLYE.....Tom's career discography is virtually unmatched - from recording Don McLean's AMERICAN PIE, mixing on the original WOODSTOCK LP (he's the one who thought to throw in the sound clips of WAVY GRAVY, ".....breakfast in bed for 300,000..."), worked with George Harrison and Phil Spector on CONCERT FROM BANGLADESH - to Tom's multiple-decade long association with THE GRATEFUL DEAD; particularly wtih Mickey Hart on a wide variety of recordings...from Mickey's Grammy Award winning PLANET DRUM, Mickey's Hart's 1996 Olympic Open Ceremony music work.....Tom's a gentleman's gentleman whose golden ears have presented this album with amazing sound quality....
Paul Stubblebine mastering job is simply world class, but far more importantly, Paul brought the optimum musical clarity to all of Tom Flye's brilliant mixes..... thanks, guys....

STONE SQUIRL (est June/2008)
Tiedye Keith returns to his rocking roots with Vince Welnick and Bill Spooner being re-united on several tunes; one of which is a harder rock piece, "Limtation Blues". The above track, "Don't Lay Me Down" is another sneak preview mix which we are quietly proud about, it's a wonderful tune that it's blossoming with the recording process.....Norbert Stachel pitchs in with an incredible sax solo, Vince Welnick with some dynamic keyboards and Bill Spooner's melodic rocking solo is simply awesome....this cd is in the mix down process with a late 2006 or early 2007 release, hopefully
