Saraswati or Brahmmani or Brahmatani is the mother goddess of practising knowledge and music, the spouse of the creator Lord Brahma. She is the creater of the seven sounds, She is known as the mother goddess that sits upon ones tongue and our voice is the power of this mother goddess. She is seated on a white lotus or a swan dressed in White silk. She holds a mala ( rosery beads ) on her top left hand, The Vedas) a text of scriptures on her bottom right hand, and is always seen playing the Veena ( instument form of a sitar).
Maha Kali - Kali is Sakthi ( the source of power ) embodied in a female form. Shiva and shakti are known as one Power. She is known to be the fiercest goddess ever. Kali is Parvati herself. This goddess is seen with four arms holding a Khadagh ( thick axelike sword ) on her top left, a head of a demon on her top right, a trident on her bottom left and a vessel of blood on her bottom right which she drinks. In another illusion she is also seen with ten arms holding various weapons. She wears a garland of heads and a petticoat of arms. There were so many demons and evil which took over earth and heaven that big corruption in the cosmos outraged she became so angry that she turned black and her eyes turned red.. No god or goddess could do anything to calm her . Even the great gods of the trinity Brahma and Vishnu were terified. In this condition all the gods and goddesses went to Lord Shiva who had a solution. He lay down on the ground on which the big war of chaos had taken place where Kali was slaying the demons. Kali misakingly tred on Lord Shivas corpse. She looked down and was so shocked that she pulled out her tongue and cried out ‘ My Lord!’ shed made a big mistake by treading on him. Lord shiva calmed the mother goddess.
“Thou art the Light of the universe and its controlling and guiding spirit. Do thou appear in our midst! From Thee a cobweb of worlds is spreading out at every moment. Thou art the dispeller of all fears; do Thou appear before us! Thou art the seed of the universe; Thou art the Being in whom I reside. Thou art present in the hearts of all these devotees. Do thou, whom I find present before me, banish the fears of all created beings. Thou art the embodiment of all gods and much more. Thou hast come out of me and I am the epitome of the created world. Let us contemplate the very Foundation of this universe, through Whom the world seeks liberation. Thou standest on Thy own eternal basic nature. Thou hast come out of the Pranava, the seed-word and base of all existence and the truth of all. The Vedas are but sparks from They eternal Light. Thou dost symbolise the heavenly couple, Kama and Kameshvari who are dissolved together in all-permeating Bliss Supreme and signified by Nãda and Bindu, when differentiated for keeping up Thy Lila. Do Thou dispel the fears of the world.I seek refuge in Thee. Thou art my shelter and final resting place. Draw Thou my whole being into Thine. As the Deliverer Thou dost appear in two forms—the liberator and the devotee seeking liberation. By me alone are all created in my own image; by me all are sent into the world; and in me all find final refuge. I am the final cause indicated in the Vedas by Pranava. I am Mahamaya and Mahabhava all in one. Devotion to me is the cause of Moksha (liberation). All are mine. To me Rudra owes all his powers and the self-same I sing to the glory of Rudra, who becomes manifest in all actions and in their causes.†More: Anandamayi.org
Oscar Wilde’s rich and dramatic portrayals of the human condition came during the height of the Victorian Era that swept through London in the late 19th century. At a time when all citizens of Britain were finally able to embrace literature the wealthy and educated could only once afford, Wilde wrote many short stories, plays and poems that continue to inspire millions around the world. Quotes:
Only the shallow know themselves.
The pure and simple truth is rarely pure and never simple.
An idea that is not dangerous is unworthy of being called an idea at all.
By giving us the opinions of the uneducated, journalism keeps us in touch with the ignorance of the community.
Consistency is the last refuge of the unimaginative.
Deceiving others. That is what the world calls a romance.
Democracy means simply the bludgeoning of the people by the people for the people.
Do you really think it is weakness that yields to temptation? I tell you that there are terrible temptations which it requires strength, strength and courage to yield to.
Every saint has a past and every sinner has a future.
Hatred is blind, as well as love.
I see when men love women. They give them but a little of their lives. But women when they love give everything.
If you are not too long, I will wait here for you all my life.
Illusion is the first of all pleasures.
I put all my genius into my life; I put only my talent into my works.
Carl Jung was one of the creators of modern
depth psychology, which seeks to facilitate
a conversation with the unconscious energies
which move through each of us.
He contributed many ideas which continue
to inform contemporary life: complex,
archetype, persona, shadow,
anima and animus, personality typology,
dream interpretation, individuation,
and many other ideas.
He had a deep appreciation of our creative
life and considered spirituality a central
part of the human journey.
His method of interpretation of symbolic
expression not only deepens our
understanding of personal material,
opening the psychodynamics of our personal
biographies and dreams, but the deeper,
collective patterns which develop within
culture as well.

Dionysus, also commonly known by his
Roman name Bacchus, appears to be a
god who has two distinct origins.
On the one hand, Dionysus was
the god of wine, agriculture, and fertility
of nature, who is also the patron god
of the Greek stage.
On the other hand, Dionysus also
represents the outstanding features
of mystery religions, such as those practiced
at Eleusis: ecstasy, personal delivery
from the daily world through physical or spiritual
intoxication, and initiation into secret rites.
Scholars have long suspected that the god
known as Dionysus is in fact a fusion of
a local Greek nature god, and another
more potent god imported rather late in
Greek pre-history from Phrygia
(the central area of modern day Turkey)
or Thrace.
Dualism, moderation of (or tension within)
excess and extremes, death and
resurrection, vegetation, madness...
Symbols: the dolphin, the serpent, the tiger...
Dionysus was once captured by Etruscan
pirates who mistook him for a wealthy prince
they could ransom.
After the ship set sail Dionysus invoked his
divine powers, causing vines to overgrow
the ship where the mast and sails had been.
He turned the oars into serpents, so terrifying
the sailors that they jumped overboard,
but Dionysus took pity on them and
transformed them into dolphins
so that they would spend their lives
providing help for those in need.
The Wind, the Breath of Ram, the
Messenger of God...
Hanuman, the mighty ape that aided
Lord Rama in his expedition against evil
forces, is one of the most popular idols in the
Hindu pantheon. Believed to be an avatar
of Lord Shiva, Hanuman is worshipped as a
symbol of physical strength, perseverance
and devotion.
The character of Hanuman teaches us of the
unlimited power that lies unused within each
one of us. Hanuman directed all his
energies towards the worship of Lord Rama,
and his undying devotion made him such
that he became free from all physical fatigue.
And Hanuman's only desire was to go on
serving Rama.
Hanuman perfectly exemplifies "Dasyabhava"
devotion - one of the nine types of devotions -
that bonds the master and the servant.
His greatness lies in his complete merger
with his Lord, which also formed the base
of his genial qualities.
