Born from the ashes of 80's -- 90'S L.A. rock band DIRTY BLONDE. ---behold---TALL LIKE GOD tired of endless touring, battles with record labels, and chimps in cheese suits, TALL LIKE GOD is born in 2004. Dirty Blonde-after recording their third studio album with producer Mick Jekyll, lead singer and guitarist Jimmi James had enough. Musical inspiration of everything 80's had dried out , Jimmi called it quits; A lawsuit with CAPITOL RECORDS had taken its toll on Jimmi. While recording the 3rd DIRTY BLONDE album With producer Mick Jekyll, Jimmi had found someone whose outlook on music, writing, arraigning, and how a record should be made were the same. Jimmi and Mick set down and poured over ideas for a year before settling on their musical vision, music that spoke the truth. Recruited for the project were Andy Milner, Ex DIRTY BLONDE and VOODOO member for vocal duties, Danny Rotter, drummer, a fixture in the Los Angeles studio scene for years, Johhny Lupo on Bass, thanks to a weekend pass or two from the home for the disturbed,, to record the 1st TALL LIKE GOD compact disk.
