About Me

Taking cues and sounds from their past and incorporating them with modern ideas and feelings, Allison Research stands out as a unique act. Comprised of two keyboards, bass, some guitar, drums, drum machines , and sampler, it is hard to classify the band into any sort of classic genre. Some call it electronic, but then there are songs which definitely lean towards more organic sounds. Songs that range from upbeat, poppy songs, to songs that are slow and eerie, show the diversity of influences and ideas that flow from the band. Imagine if the beautiful sounds of Postal Service were put along with the poppy sounds of Devo and you start to get the idea of Allison Research's sound. Sounds that stand out like a sore thumb in their hometown of Wichita. Allison Research is currently promoting their debut 15 track release "Forget What You Didn't See" and continuing to write new material, while performing all over Kansas and surrounding states.
