Shadows Not Amused

"We are but three females and one male who collided in a living room of apathy and out of sheer boredom have managed to spring forth music. Like the birth of Athena from Zeus' head, we begin our journey with no memory of our childhood and misguided ambition."
The Oeur sisters belong to a small aborigine tribe in Thailand known as the Khot Maa Moung where they tended to Juerheud crops - a plant that is much like bamboo but thinner. After being exhiled for Christy's continuous consumption of the delicious vegetable, the siblings traveled to Bangkok and educated themselves in American culture and the joys of cooking. They were then imported to the US by a Thai Government program whose goals were to place Thai cooks in as many US localities as possible to promote Pad Thai as the new spaghetti.
Upon their arrival, they were greeted by a french missionary who denounced their given name (Unthapunya) and bestowed them with the french surname, Oeur. The name Oeur translates into "bear," (or depending on region, it would also mean "plastic device") which accurately describes the homely and downy looks of Rathana Oeur. The three immediately felt a mystical bond that could only be expressed through music - grand and spectacular music!
Aside from their musical project, Rathana is pursuing a career in accounting, and Christy is composing her first rock opera.
