KEITON KNIGHT R.I.P.

About Me

I am a single parent whose life has changed because of my status. I now feel I have a good work life balance and that I am in tune with my emotions. I believe in myself and think that it is important to be confident. I try to be positive in all I do and to live in the present, we can waste so much time and energy thinking about past events, we must learn from them, discard them and move on!My son who is nine years old is mixed race so I was touched by the plight of Keiton Kight who has sadly now lost his battle with cancer. He set an example to us all and I feel sure that some good has come from his short life.I have been married twice but have not lost my belief in marriage and I am convinced that I have learned a lot and will make my third marriage a success, its just a case of finding the lucky woman!

My Interests

Sports, Music, Cinema, Theatre, Dining Out, Reading, Good Conversation

I'd like to meet:

Terri Walker (her song Brand New Day co-written with Sylvia Bennett Smith inspired me when times were hard and helped me to come to terms with myself)and Beverley Knight who has worked so hard for Christian Aid and AIDS charities and comes across as a fantastic human being. These two singers who have so much talent and have not had the acclaim they deserve.Sylvia Bennett Smith who on finding the impact that Brand New Day had on me, took the time and trouble to thank me for making her day.TaDa a new soul talent, worth taking a few moments out to listen to her music, she is working so hard to launch her career successfully.Rachel Bell who has the voice of an angel and who deserves to be heard.Aima, a my space friend from Boston, US who has a very wise head on her young shoulders and encourages me to write and share my thought and feelings.Geoff Thomas who having fought a successful fight against leukemia has devoted his life to raise money for others who face or will face that same battle.Anybody who shares my beliefs and ideals and who has a positive attitude and knows that they can add value to the lives of others.

Music:

Love music across all genres. My favourite artists include: Terri Walker, Beverley Knight, Bruce Springsteen, Gretchen Peters, Peppercorn (a.k.a. Rosie Jones) and Harry Chapin. Of the talent I've discovered here Tada, Danelle Harvey, Rachael Bell, Zuwa, Nayo, GK Real and Zein Simone certainly deserve a wider audience. They have tremendous ability and should be stars of the future.

Movies:

Favourite Movies: The Color Purple, Dead Poets Society, Hotel Rwanda, Shawshank Redemption, Antwone Fisher, Field Of Dreams and Coming Home.

Television:

SkySports, VH1, Dragon's Den.

Books:

To Kill a Mockingbird, The Color Purple, Riding Through The Storm.

Heroes:

Harry Chapin, Geoff Thomas, Garfield Sobers, Andrew Johnson, Darren Clarke, Buffy Sainte-Marie, Martin Luther King.
