The wisdom of the Oak is the wisdom of the ages.

About Me

I am the son of Methodist theologian, which translates into a liberal Christian heritage and perspective. That said my father taught me two things, to be tolerant of ideas and beliefs different than those I was brought up with and that no religion of man possesses all truth. In my personal quest for understanding of the Source of all Being (AKA: God) I have drawn on Christianity, Buddhism, Islam, Judaism and ancient Celtic beliefs. Knowledge and enlightenment is not the sole property of anyone or any system of beliefs. Respect for oneself is a primer to such a quest and is reflected in respect for others and their beliefs; however any faith that allows or advocates harming those that do not believe as they do or those that honestly question do not merit respect. The complexity of creation is beyond comprehension by human philosophy or science, yet we are programmed by creation to seek that very thing. That is not the paradox it seems, living things sprout, hatch or are born, they grow, learn, mature and adapt. This is true of individual organisms, species and of civilizations. Not to say the knowledge of the Oak is the knowledge of a human being, but it is knowledge none the less. Respect and appreciation for the physical world and all life that dwells therein is respect and appreciation for The Source of all Being. The thoughts and opinions I express are those I have come to understand through my study and experiences. They are only correct in as much as they express the truth of the Source of all Being.
